What’s coming up

Wild and Free!

We are chuffed to announce that we are launching Wild and Free in 2024. Utterly free events for local families.

Our 8th June tickets are sold out, but we have more dates coming up for the rest of the year, thanks to funding from the MidCounties Cooperative and Tesco’s Stronger Starts.

You can vote for us in Tesco stores throughout Reading between April – July in order to fund more Wild and Free days this year and next!

Wild Parties

Our parties are out of this world. Whether it’s a prosecco and muddy boots get-together with extended family for Grandma’s 60th or a wild tea party for your 4-year-old, we do them all. We always include campfire sausages (or alternatives) and have additional options for those who want to sit back more.

Wild Flower Tea Party

A good fit for ages 2-6.

We set up our best silverware, pallet tables and lots of flowers, and your kids go for it. Includes outdoor play and crafts tailored to your child’s age group, such as nature crowns (picture). All our parties are tailored to your child’s choices in planning with you. Led by one of our qualified Level 3 Forest School Leaders, fire trained teachers, youth workers or Outdoor Practitioners.

Wild Craft Party

A good fit for Key Stage 1 and 2.

Best in April – Sep

You choose from a selection of crafts such as Happazome lavender bags, natural soap making or clay craft. All our parties are tailored to your child’s choices in planning with you. Led by one of our qualified Level 3 Forest School Leaders, fire trained teachers, youth workers or Outdoor Practitioners.

Wildlife Party

A good fit for ages 4-8.

Best in April – July.

Think pond dipping, bug, frog and newt hunting and you’re on the right track. Includes plenty of tree climbing and wild games. All our parties are tailored to your child’s choices in planning with you. Led by one of our qualified Level 3 Forest School Leaders, fire trained teachers, youth workers or Outdoor Practitioners.

Wild Child Challenge Party

A good fit for Key Stage 1 and 2.

Forest School activities such as primitive fire lighting, den building and adventure challenges and games. All our parties are tailored to your child’s choices in planning with you. Led by one of our qualified Level 3 Forest School Leaders, fire trained teachers, youth workers or Outdoor Practitioners.

Summer Camp

Monday 29th July – Friday 2nd August 2024

Our kids holiday camp for ages 5-12 is perfect for wild kids who need to run off some steam and get muddy in the freedom of our secure woods.

We create a safe, secure space for kids to explore risky play with trained professionals, giving them all the support they need when they need it while giving them the space to learn, develop and gain confidence.

It is the perfect balance of risky space with a supportive, loving structure behind them. This gives them an opportunity to stretch themselves and build confidence and resilience, have fun and feel good whilst getting exhausted and muddy in the fresh air.

If this sounds like it would suit your kids, send them to us – this is our bread and butter!

Hear from Our Community

There was an obvious sense of deep care for the children attending, as well as beautiful trust in the children themselves as they explored the space and enjoyed the diffferent aspects of the natural environment and creative activities.

Lorraine, parent at Wild Summer Camp

Seeing my kids able to explore in a safe environment, knowing I would have that chance each week to chat freely about the struggles and the joys of parenting without fear of judgement was a real help.

Katherine, parent at Little Robins

An amazing sanctuary and place for adults and children alike. Everyone is very welcoming. Kat creates amazing activities and has an immense amount of knowledge about the natural world to share.

Laura Van Eyck, Carer at Little Robins

Little Robins is always a highlight of our week! Our kids have benefited so much that I’ve continued to bring my eldest once a week even since she started school and it has done wonders for her confidence, independence and education!
