Kathryn Clark
Founder & Director
Kat is passionate about enabling people of all ages to connect creatively with the outdoor environment around them, helping them develop holistically into happier, healthier people. She set up the Wild City Collective from a desire to see like-minded folks working collaboratively to make this happen.

Annie
Director
Annie loves creating connections and building community and enjoys nothing more than a cup of tea and an honest conversation!
Currently working as Head of Digital & Communications at Reading Students’ Union, she has previously worked in a variety of roles, including coaching, writing, working with children and families, as a funeral celebrant and in communications and events roles for a number of charities.
Her happy place is the woods, and she’s excited to bring her varied experience and learning to Wild City.

As a mum of four active kids, Joanna has no choice but to get outside, come rain or shine!
She has worked with Kat, amongst others, to support local primary schools in Reading to learn to teach children outdoors and make the most of nature as a classroom.
She leads our Wild Camps and many birthday parties.

Naomi
Leads Wondrous Wrens & our Schools work
Naomi has been attending forest school as a mum for 3 years and has loved the amazing effect being outdoors has on herself and her daughter. So, she is now undertaking her training to become a fully qualified Forest School Leader! Naomi is a qualified teacher with over a decade’s experience working with children in primary schools – with a focus on Early Years and SEND. She loves to try her hand at growing veg in the garden but this is not something she has great success with!
Louisa
Our Back Office Maestro
Louisa started volunteering with us years ago after coming to Little Robins. Now her kids are at school she helps our background operations run smoothly. If you enquire about anything, chances are she will be in touch. She loves chatting mud pies and bugs with her own kids and has an amazing wild garden at home full of frogs.
Roz
Wild Camp Leader
Roz joined in 2023 after her kids came to summer camp and loved it so much she had to buy her youngest a wheelbarrow for Christmas! She has years of experience in youth and children’s work in churches and schools. When she’s not working she is mum to three young kids, and Badger the dog. She loves horses and dreams one day of owning her own and a field to go with it!

Schools Work Leader
Debbie joined us in 2018 and has never looked back; in 2023, she changed carers and retrained as an Outdoor Practitioner. She’s a single mum to two gorgeous, energetic young kids and has an amazing singing voice. She’s a natural performer; when she’s not inspiring kids at Forest School, she’s performing vocals in her band.
Jo
Wild & Free SEN Leader
Jo’s gentle, caring nature and love of kids, play, and the outdoors are inspiring. She’s a busy local Early Years Teacher (Nursery and reception) and Forest School Leader. We are chuffed to share her with the Gabriels Education and Wellbeing team. She has two dogs and a husband to entertain and look after her after a long day on her feet at work! She loves seeing all the children she works with using gentle and supportive connections to build relationships with nature and each other.
Heidi
Wild & Free Leader
Heidi has always loved spending time with children outdoors, which she incorporates into everything she does, from parenting to working. For the last five years, she has been weaving the healing power of the outdoors into the way she cares for children as a Foster Carer. With years behind her as a Forest School Leader, Childminder, and Foster Carer, she knows most of Reading!
Catherine
Teacher with SEN experience
Catherine has been an English teacher for over 20 years yet these days she loves teaching EYFS, Primary and Secondary young people.
She loves poetry and is inspired by literature which celebrates and explores the rich beauty of nature in all its seasons. Seamus Heaney and Gillian Clarke are amongst her favourite to snuggle up to on a cold day. She enjoys being creative which she brings to Forest School along with her son Jacob who is one of our Young Helpers. The peace of our forest inspires her and brings tranquility to her heart. She says “Sharing our forest with our community is special to me and it is a privilege to do so!”
Katryna
Wondrous Wrens (Home Education) Parent Leader
Katryna (also known to some as Tryni) has been coming along to forest school groups for 3 years.
Now home educating her 3 children, she realises how important it is to get into nature. Tryni helped to start our Wondrous Wrens group for home ed families and volunteers there each week. Her family also enjoys walks along the river, climbing trees in the woods and indoor bouldering.

Levi
Young Helper at our Camps
Levi was ‘Forest Schooled’ himself by his mum, so our woodlands are his ‘natural habitat’. He is so familiar with our fires, tools and hammocks that we realised he would be a brilliant team member! As our youngest member of staff, he helps our Team Leaders with Wild Camps, and is incredibly hard working! In his spare time he enjoys fencing, baking, playing his guitar and learning to forge.

Sally joined our team one day when we needed some urgent sickness cover and we have never let her leave! She is a Primary teacher during the week, so is just brilliant with Primary Aged kids. We love her sense of humour and ability to have fun in all moments.
