Introducing our new home

Our new home at 59 Gloucester Road is quickly developing and we hope you will join us for the journey. Previously West Reading Adult School (1908 until the 1960’s) and then Gloucester Road Playgroup (1970’s-C2010), the site boasts a beautiful school hall which will be available for the community to rent for parties and events.
The land beside will be returned to trees, habitat and shrubbery and run as a Forest School all year around. We will host local schools and run all of our provision from this site now.
We hope to run workshops from both the Forest School and the school hall in time.
The community garden will run socially prescribed community gardening sessions, codesigned and run by local Reading folks.
For now, we are building our site. Everyone is welcome to come and get involved;
Tea and Trowels is our Thursday Morning group, meeting alternate Thursdays in term time. Find out more here.
Our Community Days will run between April and July to get the site up and running. Keep an eye on our socials and this page for more info.

Support us
We need financial support to get us up and running. We are a tiny grassroots not for profit and we are reliant on the generous donations of the public. So far, we have asked for trees and had a whopping £2,161 of trees bought through our partners at Root One Garden Centre. We were blown away by the generous support of you all.
